A guy asked for lift at a busy road a few days ago and when offered a ride, started mentioning his financial problems. He revealed that he dealt in fruits but his business failed due to some reasons.
He was offered working capital (to buy fruit) and a ‘hand cart’/rehri was arranged on ‘daily rent’ [...]

Do issues die out when their intrinsic value diminishes? Or when there is no one left to agitate for their just resolution?

Some of the concerned Lahoris (Christians, Muslims and a Sikh) gathered at GPO, Mall Road, Lahore to respond to the protest call by some civil society groups. They peacefully marched from GPO to Assembly chowk to get their anguish registered.

Three volunteers visit Sadaat Baba (close to Mardan) on 9th August and take medicines worth Rs 78000 with them. They hand Rs 30,000 to the Saadat Baba Committee (as there are still about 300 IDP families in Saadat Baba, mainly from Kabal & Charbagh). 1) face transport problems
2) feel concerned by the imposition of ‘curfew’ in their home areas (’if some area has been cleared of terrorists, why this curfew??’)

We visited Bashirabad and Moti Banda villages near Malakand. According to the plan, Professor Gul Hussain (a local resident of Motibanda, who we have chosen a few weeks ago to distribute funds & food in the IDPs there) is doing exactly what he was told to do. [...]
